Fulfilled Life at the Province featuring Alimatoc, Cadiz City

Alimatoc Pacol Falls is located at Sitio Alimatoc, Barangay Celestino Villacin, Cadiz City. It is considered as the “Tinagong Manggad” or” Hidden Gem” of the city. It is not new to us that the Philippines is abundant when it comes to natural resources. Having one of the most spectacular nature views globally, this country is home to numerous wonders of nature.

It was May 2015 when I first visited this place. I and some of my family went there to visit my mom's friend, and I was amazed because I got to see some of the people from the Manara Tribe, commonly known as the Aeta. I was delighted back then because they were all friendly and kind to me even if they did not know me. Before, Alimatoc is just a simple place, but for years, over the years, they keep on improving, especially the people's way of life.

This place became so important to me. I met a lot of people, and this is where I met my partner and his family. Almost every year, we visit his family and explore the peaks and waterfalls. The waterfall is a beauty to stare at. That beautiful scene as the water cascades from top to bottom, I intuitively love it. Listening to the sound of the waterfalls and mountains makes me happy. It is so relaxing, and it calms my brain.

Alimatoc is now accessible in any vehicle. But unfortunately, if you are going to commute, it would be a hassle because the bus has only one trip per day, 10:00 a.m. And there is no public transportation for the rest of the day. Unless you ride the "Habal-Habal" going in and out of Alimatoc, but it would cost you a much higher price. And since that there is limited public transportation, tourists can stay overnight in some areas. Some cafes like the Lighthouse Cafe offer a campsite for tourists who want to stay overnight. They also have a rented tent for the tourist.

When you visit this place, I would recommend that you have your private vehicle for you to appreciate your trip surely. And make sure that you follow the proper health protocols. Alimatoc will offer you a lot of things for you to enjoy and appreciate.

(Lighthouse Café is one of the most recommended cafés in the area. It is because they offer delightful food and coffee, and you can see the fantastic view of So. Alimatoc Brgy. Celestino Villacin, Cadiz City. This photo was taken on May 30, 2021.)
