Fun Filled Amusement Experience at Magikland Amusement Park

Magikland Amusement Park is one of the theme parks in the Philippines situated in the Visayas Region. Magikland, to be exact, is located at Sitio Cabug, Brgy. Guinhalaran Silay Negros Occidental. It is known as the first outdoor theme park in the Visayas, and this theme park opens its door to all Negrosan last September 27,2019.

As a Bacolodnon myself, of course, I did take advantage of this opportunity to visit this newly open theme park, because why not? I am also excited to experience their various rides. I remember it was October 2019 when my friends and I visited the park. I am amazed because I've never been to an amusement park before; I am a first-timer as well. It was a gloomy afternoon when we decided to give a visit.

As you drive closer to the amusement park along the bumpy, rough roadway, the excitement grows. The enormous parking lot is gradually filling up with tourists for the day. Parents are working hard to keep their children together as they jump around with joy and glee. Every parent can practically be heard warning their child to stay safe. You can see all the dazzling lights in the distance as you walk to the ticket booth, and the atmosphere is building up with the loud music within the park and everyone's joy.

The briskly blowing breeze whistles through you as you walk towards the theme park as soon as you're allowed to enter. Flashing lights can be seen in the distance, and loud and joyous music can be heard from prominent speakers everywhere, with a dazzling sun rising from behind like a yellow lollipop. The rays of the hot sun glisten on the faces of children, teenagers, and adults riding the carousel. The hectic mood quickly builds up, and the joy on everyone's face as they queue for each ride is priceless, as are the children running from all directions, eager to ride their chosen rides.

Looking further down on the side of the park, everyone is getting into the adventurous rides ahead; suddenly, everyone's attention is caught when you hear people screaming as loud as they can on the rides and those in the queues laughing at everyone's funny facial expressions. There is also a food court in the park where you can choose what you want to eat if you get tired from all the rides.

Every 6:00 PM of the night, there is a dance show featuring boy Bakunawa, the moon-eating dragon, along with the park's official mascot, our child-warriors who are the champions of Magikland. The children, whose names pay homage to the local landscape, are Boy Bakunawa, Mara Marapara, Pat Patag, and Kit Kanlaon. It was an act of dancing that tells the story of these characters and quite entertaining to all ages, especially if you are a Negrosanon as you can relate to some scenes plus the costumes and all from the characters.

Finally, I'd want to bring my story to a close. Who could forget to capture a photograph of their iconic Ferris wheel as the sun rises and casts a different light on it? Your vacation would be incomplete if you did not ride the Ferris wheel because the view from above is breathtaking, and you will be able to see the city of Silay, as the attendant told us.
