(Wreck but beautifully preserved mansion of the wealthy sugar baron Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson. Talisay City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. May 16,2020.)
The Ruins is the remains of the ancestral home mansion of the family of Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson and Maria Braga Lacson. It is situated in Talisay, Negros Occidental, Philippines. The mansion was built in early 1900s and inspired by Italian architecture.
The Ruins (Talisay) was the ancestral mansion of the family of wealthy sugar baron Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson built on a 440 hectare sugar plantation in Talisay City, Negros Occidental in the early 1900s in memory of his Portuguese wife Maria Braga Lacson, who died during the birth of their eleventh child. During World War 2, Filipino guerillas burned it down as a countermeasure to prevent the invading Japanese forces from using it as a military office. It burned for 3 straight days.

Im glad that one of the descendants of Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson and Maria Braga Lacson was culturally savvy enough to appreciate the value of the ruined mansion of their grandparents. The family has made an excellent choice of tour guide in Roger Lucero, an ABS-CBN PBB alumni, who injected enough humor in his description of the mansion and the family history. His antics made everyone engaged and stay throughout the tour.

The place is beautiful. It can be a little crowded so it's hard to take a really good photo. I gained learning insights on the foundation why it exists.
Ruins of Lacson Mansion is fantastic to see italian architecture can still be noticed and fresh relaxing ambiance of the vicinity were preserved.

The Ruins is somewhat enchanting in its old world charm. For the full aesthetic impact (especially for those photography buffs), drop by here at sunset. The house, its silhouette and the impression you get is all the more epic b/c of the sunset's golden coloring. You can't help but be drawn to the details of what remains of the house's architecture and by it's historical ambiance. They really are beautiful designs ideas.
Place is well-maintained, very clean. I wish there are other activities that could be done here, but the place is very ideal for photo shoots like prenups
I like the history of the place. Totally romantic. The kind where we see only in movies.
